Boxycharm November 2019: Base Box

Today I want to share with you my Boxycharm November 2019 base box. 

I received two BoxyCharm oval brushes, a Kypris serum, a Becca highlighter in Chocolate Geode, two eye masks, and the Dominique Cosmetics Celestial Thunder palette (the BoxyCharm exclusive mini version of her larger Celestial Storm palette).

My overall thoughts:

The BoxyCharm brushes:

These are very soft on the skin and are great for contouring and blending in my cream or powder contour on the face.

Kypris:

Celestial Thunder eyeshadow palette:

The matte shades all blend really well on the lid and are very pigmented. Eternal Delight is a bit chunky in terms of glitter and doesn't have the best payoff on the lid. Black Matter (top, third from left) is a hot mess of a shade with a possible hard pan over the top of it. It didn't blend well or stick to the lid even when wet with Fix+. Zero Gravity doesn't blend well on the lid. I like the color scheme of the palette and it's perfect for fall, but I'm glad I didn't just spend money for only this palette as half the shades (the shimmers) seem difficult to work with. Generally in the industry, shimmer shades are easier to formulate than matte ones so this is just really unacceptable as a makeup palette. But i'm IN LOVE with the mattes and frankly that's all I cared about with this Boxy exclusive edit so I'm ok with having this palette.

Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed Highlighter in Chocolate Geode ($38):

This highlighter looks really pretty on my skintone and gives a noticable but natural highlight.  

Eye masks:

I am always happy to recieve a good eye mask as I have genetically dark undereye circles and struggle with sleep deprivation.

Overall I would give this box a 5/5 because I really like and will use all the products. For $25 this box was totally worth it in my opinion. I also prepaid for 3 months in advance so I got all of this for even cheaper (about $23 per month). The Becca highlighter is $38 by itself so I really got some nice makeup for a low price point this month.
