Natasha Denona Love Palette

I recently purchased the new Natasha Denona Love palette and have been testing the shadows out. While the shades themselves are the same great quality that we have come to recognize from the brand, I cannot recommend this palette. I feel like the color story isn't flattering on my Fenty 370 skintone and that I am constantly reaching for another palette to pair with this one to create a look. Overall, this palette isn't a "love" for me.

Natasha Denona Sunrise Palette: Review

The new Natasha Denona Sunrise Palette retails for $65 USD which is quite a bit cheaper than her existing full-sized palettes which retail for over $100 USD.

My thoughts:

The shade Azelea (middle row, 3rd shade from the left) seems to lack pigmentation on the eyes with a finger application. It's probably the worst shade in the palette as far as performance is rated. Out of curiosity and after playing with the palette myself, I checked out Temptalia's review of the shades and their performance. Even she rated this shade as the worst out of the entire palette. I think the consistency speaks for itself and I will leave you to make your own conclusions.

Some shades, in my opinion, looked patchy on the lids and I didn't think they blended quite as seamlessly as the shades and shadows I have from Huda Beauty (Desert Dusk or New Nudes $65 USD) or Anastasia Beverly Hills (Soft Glam or MR). I think I prefer their formulation over Natasha Denona's for the price point. Again, you might feel differently about this.

Agate (middle row, last shade on the right) is an excellent highlighter shade for people of color in the same range as me (MAC NC45/NW40 or Fenty 370) and can help this palette multitask if you are traveling or in a hurry.
